Jen at Peanut Pet Shelter

My husband Andy and I are the founders of Peanut Pet Shelter, Humane Society of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. You can read our story here http://peanutpetshelter.org/ourstory.html

Rescuing and rehabilitating animals is our passion and it’s a passion we want to share with other like-minded individuals or associations. I hope that through this blog I will be able to connect with those of  you that really want to make a difference.

To find out more about me, visit my personal blog http://peanutpetshelter.blogspot.com/, but be warned – I often have strange and random thoughts!!

My female friends and I have started this blog because we are interested in you,  your cat and dog stories and your favorite photos.  In turn, I will be sharing with you aspects of our shelter life and bringing  you articles and photos of  many of our shelter occupants. We have our very own natural health section too, so if you have any tips you would like to share, we would love to hear them.

Although this blog site is run by ladies, it’s for everyone. we want to hear from you all! You don’t need to have a rescue animal, you just need to care.

Together we can do so much. Together we can make those animals that have never known love a little happier, a little stronger.

Together we can save lives.

About Jan. 15, I snail-mailed in a donation & have, to this day, NOT received a receipt – needless to say, I would be very reluctant to donate further.

Oscar is doing fine and is becoming very playful – with humans that is! He tends to pretty much ignore the other dogs but loves it when someone goes in to play tug-of-war with the rope toys with him. Maybe I can get Rick to do a video of Oscar playing.
