We found this little boy wandering the streets this morning (Wednesday). He is a tiny poodle in truly horrible condition. He is so emaciated, he doesn’t have the strength to stand, his tiny body is covered in sores and he possibly has pneumonia. He is 5 months old and weighs just two and a half pounds. He undoubtably has internal parasites but at present is just too weak to de-worm. He is refusing to eat or drink, so has been started off on subcutaneous fluids and I am now syringe feeding him tiny amounts every two hours – so a sleepless night or two ahead!
As yet I haven’t given him a name as in all honesty I think his chances of survival are limited. I will keep you posted on his progress.
Our pregnant mother gave birth one week ago to 7 beautiful puppies. Photos coming soon – at the moment Mom is being very protective!
Last week too saw the arrival of 3 tiny kittens in need of bottle feeding. They are currently in the care of foster mom Roz and won’t be ready for adoption for another few weeks yet.
