Twice the Fun

My husband is a ‘large dog snob’ meaning he prefers large dogs (versus my 16lb dyamo Decker). This summer, I got him his new buddy “Sombra” Sombra is a lab-border collie x. I named him Sombra, in honour of Glenn’s beloved Shadow who passed away 2 years ago. Sombra is a doll and Decker loves having another dog around the house. (not so sure the kitties like it, but Decker does). I just know it’s twice the fun, fur, food, TOYS, and more than double the LOVE!!

A Dog Lover’s Notice To Visitors

The dog lives here- you don’t.

If you don’t want dog hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.

Yes, he/she has some disgusting habits. So do I and so do you. What’s your point?

OF COURSE, he/she smells like a dog!

It’s his/her nature to try and sniff your crotch. Please feel free to sniff his/hers.

I like my dog a lot better than I like most people.

To you he’s/she’s a dog. To me, he’s/she’s an adopted child, who is short, hairy, walks on all fours, doesn’t speak clearly, and tolerates the cat. I have no problem with any of these things.

Dogs are better than kids: they eat less, don’t ask for money all the time, are easier to train, come when called, never drive your car or talk back, don’t hang out with drug-using friends, don’t smoke or drink, don’t worry about whether they have the latest fashions, don’t wear your clothes, don’t need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they accidentally get pregnant….. you can sell the puppies.
