So many owners too think seem to think that their dog only needs to be fed on those rare occasions when they think to throw them a scrap or two. Sadly for us as 'foreigners', trying to convince people is an uphill struggle. It just breaks our hearts to see how so many people here treat their pets. Some time ago I wrote an article for the PPS website called 'The Plight Of The Displaced Pet'.....I think it's time to repeat it! I think it is very important to educate people more about what it means to own a dog and which responsibility comes with it. I hope that someone of Peanut Pet Shelter reads this, because you guys could start some kind of initiative to educate people about dogs and what it means to own a dog so we can avoid that thousands of dogs get mistreated and have to get rescued from the streets.
